The most beautiful part about this settlement is observing how magically the Buddhist and Hindu worshipping complexes were fused together architecturally and in belief. The entire Kinnaur Kailash mountain range is seen in the town's background. The streets are studded with Kinnauri apples, apricots, and excellent warm people.

After breakfast, we will start our journey to Kinnaur valley. Kinnaur is the Tribal District of Himachal with all modern facilities.

On arrival at Kalpa, check into your warm rooms facing the mystic snow-laden Kinnaur Kailash mountains.

Overnight stay at Kalpa.

Founded in the 996 AD, the Tabo Gompa is the Oldest and Largest Monastery in the Spiti Valley. The monastery also is known as the “Ajanta and Elora of Himalaya”. Tabo village is one of the finest settlements in the Spiti valley.

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Kalpa Buddhist and Hindu temple complex. Walk around the breezy terraces overlooking the town and watch the drama in the narrow streets. We will further drive towards Spiti Valley via Roghi Cliff and Roghi village in Kalpa. We shall chain up our tires at “Tinku Glacier’. After crossing Khab Bridge (A gateway to Spiti Valley), we will get a thin layer of snow on the road.

If time permits, we’ll visit the Frozen lake of Nako in the evening.

Kaza, or Kaja as the locals say, is Spiti Valley's headquarters. The city is well developed with almost all infrastructural facilities amidst dry cold deserts. Kaza has a lot to offer in terms of culture and belief, besides the shopping arcade, Cafés and eating joints.

Early morning, gear up with your cameras to visit the Oldest Monastery of Spiti Valley. Experience the feel of Buddhist prayer and an early chilli morning at Tabo. After breakfast, depart for Kaza – the biggest settlement of Spiti.

The evening is all yours, to explore Kaza like never before!

Overnight at Kaza.

Beyond Kaza, the landscape is studded with some small settlements at a God-forbidden altitude. These places still bear a post office, a police station, a school, a primary health department, and a bus stand, functioning similarly to your city. This area has been declared a fossil spotting site, taking one back to the history of medieval times. These clusters are spread along the contours, with dwarfed mud structures made from the context itself. The first sight of these settlements from far away leaves a person speechless, making them storytellers! Big cats sometimes visit these roads, also known as the Himalayan Ghosts and Snow Leopards!

Overnight at Kibber.
