An overnight bus journey of 300 km commences from Bangalore to Kerala. We shall have a brief orientation followed by a fun-filled ice-breaking session where you will get to know your fellow trekkers better.

We begin our journey towards the sloping hills of Vagamon at 9 AM from Cochin. Our trek leads will soon get to work turning the group into the most fun bunch of strangers turned friends. And before you know it we would be making our way amidst sprawling tea plantations and meandering roads into the hills of Vagamon.

Vagamon Meadows: We’ll be taking it slow on Day 1 as you explore the misty Vagamon meadows at your own pace. Rest assured, no matter how many times you’ve seen these beautiful hills, they never fail to mesmerize you. With the cold breeze tickling your senses, wander along her gentle slopes or simply watch the clouds roll over these pristine hills in complete tranquillity.

Vagamon Pine Forest: Literally ‘walk into the woods at Vagamon’s very own Pine Valley. With trees as tall as the skies, lose yourself in this real-life wonderland. Spend the rest of the afternoon soaking in the myriad of sights and hues Vagamon has to offer before slowly making our way to the campsite. 

Vagamon Camping: Our Vagamon camping experience offers complete serenity for those seeking to find bliss amidst nature. Located at Urumbikkara Hills, this is the perfect place to explore the more offbeat sides of Vagamon. The tea plantations surrounding the camp combined with the numerous forest trails and hiking opportunities make this a favourite amongst nature lovers and adventure junkies alike.

Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and settle down for the night under the starry skies. Keep yourselves warm huddled up around the campfire and spend the night inside your cosy tents. This night spent camping at Vagamon will definitely be etched on your memory for a long time to come.

Wake up to nature surrounding you in full splendour. Take in the morning hues and experience the chilly breeze running shivers across your body. Spend the morning exploring all the hidden wonders this campsite has to offer and simply take things slow. 

Discover a Hidden Waterfall: After a hearty and traditional Kerala breakfast, we bid adieu to our campsite and make our way toward a hidden waterfall. We won’t be disclosing much about the waterfall apart from the fact that it is guaranteed to leave you in awe. Let your imaginations run wild because rest assured, the first sight of the waterfall will surpass them all.

Kurisumala Hill-Top Hike: Kurisumala (Cross-Hill). With a series of Christian crosses leading up to an ancient church atop the hill, this is a relatively easy hike that offers breathtaking views from atop. Panoramic views of the Vagamon valley below combined with gushing winds at the peak are bound to feed your appetite for adventure and make you wish you never had to leave the place.

Vagamon has no dearth of places to explore and experience. Provided time permits we shall be moving on towards other local sightseeing options around Vagamon on both days. Our experienced trek leads shall make the final call regarding the same.
