2016
Passion + a dream
PTU started in Mumbai, in the hope to build a local trekking community. Our first trek was to Rajgad with a group of 14 pax (Mumbaikars and international tourists).
We crashed at lodges, dharamshalas, at friends’ places, or spent nights on bus journeys. One weekend we’d be trekking in Mumbai, the next in Bangalore. All while figuring it out on the go.
2017
Bangalore + a leap
We shifted gears to Bangalore and kicked off full-fledged operations. In just twelve months, our weekend treks brought together more than 2,500 adventurous travellers on our weekend treks and grew consistently with 700+ glowing 5-star reviews.
2020
Pause + a comeback
Just when we were celebrating our first TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence – the pandemic brought the whole world to a halt. Even with operations paused for over a year, we never shut down. Our community’s faith kept us going and we bounced back much stronger. We won four straight Travellers’ Choice Awards, 5,000+ new reviews, and over 45,000+ happy travellers (and still counting).
