Cancellation & Refund Policy
By confirming a booking with Plan The Unplanned, the participant agrees to the cancellation and refund terms mentioned below.
All refund or cancellation requests must be submitted exclusively via email to [email protected]. Requests made through WhatsApp, Instagram, phone calls, or any other mode will not be considered.
Weekend Trips & Treks from Bangalore
Booking amount policy
- The booking amount paid to confirm a slot is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Refunds, wherever applicable, will be calculated only on the remaining balance amount paid after deducting the booking amount.
- Payment gateway charges, taxes, permit fees, and processing charges are non-refundable.
If a participant chooses to cancel their booking, the following cancellation charges shall apply:

Last-minute cancellation and no-show policy
No refund, voucher, or transfer will be provided for cancellations made on the day of departure or due to the following reasons.
Failure to report at the designated pickup point on time will be treated as a no-show and no refund shall be applicable.
Postponement and rescheduling policy
- Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of departure are subject to approval and availability.
- An additional rescheduling charge of Rs. 1500 per person shall apply.
- Approved rescheduled bookings must be utilized within 3 months from the original departure date.
- Rescheduling is not permitted for departures during long weekends, festive batches, New Year events, or special permit-based treks.
Permit-based trek policy
For treks requiring advance government or forest permits, including but not limited to the treks below, the permit fee becomes non-refundable once permits are secured in the participant's name.
If permits are already booked, the participant must bear the entire permit cost irrespective of cancellation date. Remaining refund eligibility, if any, shall be calculated as per the standard cancellation policy.
If Plan The Unplanned cancels or postpones your trip
In the event that we postpone or cancel your trip, this is the cancellation policy:
Due to low participation
Due to natural calamities or government restrictions
If a trip is cancelled or postponed due to events beyond operational control, refunds shall not be guaranteed. A credit note or voucher equivalent to the usable trip amount may be issued at the sole discretion of Plan The Unplanned, and the validity will be communicated separately.

Refund and transfer terms
- Booking amount is non-refundable.
- Last-minute cancellations due to personal, work, or medical reasons will not be considered for refund.
- Bookings cannot be shifted to another departure date.
- Participants may transfer their slot to another individual subject to approval and applicable charges.
International Trips
Short-haul international trips
Applicable for destinations such as Sri Lanka, Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Dubai, Bhutan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Philippines, and similar short-haul international trips.

Important notes
Cancellation and refund terms
- All cancellation requests for international trips must be submitted in writing via the official support email.
- For international trips, the amount already paid as per the applicable payment schedule is non-refundable and non-transferable once paid.
- A credit note or partial refund may be issued only for the recoverable portion after deducting non-refundable components such as flights, visa fees, hotel deposits, permits, insurance, activity tickets, taxes, payment gateway charges, and vendor cancellation charges.
- No cash refund shall be issued unless specifically approved in writing.
- Cancellation charges apply even in cases of visa rejection, no-show, incomplete documentation, medical reasons, personal emergencies, late cancellations, or inability to travel for any reason.
Rescheduling terms
- For short-haul international trips, the first reschedule may be allowed free of charge 60 days or more before departure, subject to availability.
- For long-haul international trips, the first reschedule may be allowed free of charge 90 days or more before departure, subject to availability.
- Before 30 days of departure, actual cost incurred will be charged for rescheduling.
- For rescheduling requests made 29 days or less before departure, 100% forfeiture applies and the booking will be treated as cancelled.
- Only one complimentary reschedule is allowed per booking, and the rescheduled trip must be completed within 12 months from the original departure date unless mentioned otherwise in writing.

Refund source and non-refundable charges
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed only to the original payment source.
- Processing charges, taxes, convenience fees, permit fees, and third-party charges are non-refundable.
