Located at a distance of 380 km from Bangalore, Agumbe is a high altitude village in the Malnad region of Karnataka and is often referred to as “The Cherrapunji of the South” because of its scenic beauty and biodiversity. It also comprises of many medicinal plants and is home to the only Rainforest Research Station in India. Surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Western Ghats, covered in depths of lowland rainforests and touched by beautiful waterfalls and streams, Agumbe is the perfect place for a trek

Booking amount policy
The booking amount is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances in case of cancellation from your end.
Last-minute cancellations on the day of or the day before trek departure
Last-minute cancellations made on the day of trek departure or the day before are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling, regardless of the reason (such as work commitments, family emergencies, or health).
Aranya Vihara treks and permits
Permit fees for treks obtained under Aranya Vihara are non-refundable in the event of customer cancellation.

To ensure everyone has a great time and knows what to expect, please read these important points:
No alcohol or smoking
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please don’t consume alcohol, intoxicants, or smoke at any point during the journey or trek.
Dinner before boarding
Kindly complete your dinner before you board the bus.
Travel arrangements
We’ll arrange transportation based on our group size. If there are 12 or fewer of us, we’ll use a tempo traveler. For groups of 13 or more, it’ll be a mini-bus. Both options are non-AC and have push-back seats for your comfort. We appreciate your understanding regarding our travel logistics.
"Without Travel" option
If you prefer to arrange your own transportation to the destination (the homestay), be sure to book the “Without Travel” option when you sign up. Please note: If you select this, you’ll need a private car for your entire trip. Public transport won’t work, as our Day 2 activities begin directly from the homestay and require continuous private car access to ensure you can fully participate in all planned activities.
Embrace the outdoors
Our trips are about getting out into nature, often in remote locations. Please don’t expect luxury accommodations; we focus on providing comfortable basic facilities.
Food provided
We’ll provide basic, vegetarian meals. We do not serve non-vegetarian food.
Leave no trace policy
Please help us keep our beautiful outdoors clean by disposing of all litter properly.
Personal belongings
You are responsible for your personal belongings, valuables, and jewelry. Plan The Unplanned is not liable for any lost items.
Potential delays
While we strive to be on schedule, please be aware that traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns can sometimes occur, leading to slight delays in reaching our destination.
FAQs
Well, most of our treks are usually confirmed by Thursday and you would receive a BON VOYAGE mail that would contain details as regards Pickup Points ( Location and Timings ), Outdoor Leader ( Point of Contact ), Do’s and Don’ts. Would I be added to a WhatsApp Group once the trek is confirmed? Yes, the Bon Voyage mail would contain a link for Whatsapp Group through which one can join and interact with fellow travelers and outdoor leaders. Do I have any other boarding points apart from the ones mentioned? Yes, we do have options for picking a traveler on board with a few locations provided they are on the route to our destination. Following are the same: Croma Store, Sony World Signal Trinity Circle Metro Station Yeshwanthpur Metro Station Goraguntepalya Metro Station Nayanadahalli Metro Station Do I have to carry luggage all the way during trekking? Not at all. You could keep all the extra luggage back at the campsite/homestay and carry only the necessary stuff for the trek ( Raincoats, Torchlight, Waterbottle, lunchbox and your valuable ) Do you have Washrooms during the trek? Well, you are in the mountains and none of our trails have a washroom facility during the trek. Is the trek safe for Women/Girls? Yes, it’s much safe and sound. We have been organizing these treks over the years now and we always have had an equal ratio or sometimes we have women in the majority. We also have female outdoor leaders who are on board and lead the other trekking enthusiast. We have made sure our homestay/tent accommodation is separate for men and women. Would I be able to postpone to a future in case I do not attend the trek on the day of departure? We are extremely sorry, you cannot postpone to any future date in case you fail to attend the trek on the mentioned date for any reasons whatsoever ( family/health/work emergencies ).
