As you drive through the night, the excitement of escaping the city and heading toward the cool, green hills of Tamil Nadu begins to set in. Settle in, relax, and rest well—the adventure starts at sunrise.

You’ll arrive in Ooty on Saturday morning at a charming homestay nestled amid tea estates and forested slopes. Since standard check-in is available only after 11:00 AM, you can freshen up in the available washrooms before enjoying a warm, homestyle breakfast. Post breakfast, the group sets out for a scenic drive to Coonoor, beginning with a visit to the Madras Regiment Museum in Wellinngton. This well-maintained museum offers a glimpse into the illustrious history of one of India’s oldest military regiments, showcasing medals, weapons, uniforms, and historic documents.
If tickets are available, you'll board the iconic Nilgiri Toy Train—a UNESCO World Heritage ride that winds through tunnels, over bridges, and past misty hillscapes, offering plenty of opportunities for photos and nostalgia. After the ride, enjoy a delicious local lunch at a restaurant in Coonoor before heading to Lamb’s Rock. This cliff-top viewpoint offers sweeping views of the Coimbatore plains and surrounding valleys—a perfect spot to take in the grandeur of the Nilgiris.
As the sun begins to set, return to the homestay and unwind. In the evening, gather around a crackling bonfire (weather permitting) for a night filled with music, meaningful conversations, and shared laughter. A hearty dinner follows, after which you can enjoy a casual jam session, a quiet moment under the stars, or just soak in the serene ambiance before retiring for the night.

Sunday begins with a refreshing 3 KM hike through Longwood Shola Forest, a dense and untouched reserve teeming with native flora and birdlife. This peaceful morning walk through the quiet woods offers a moment of calm and reconnection with nature. After the hike, return to the homestay, freshen up, and check out.
On your way back, the group will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (self-sponsored), followed by visits to two popular Ooty landmarks. First, explore the Karnataka Siri Horticulture Garden, known for its landscaped lawns, vibrant flowerbeds, and charming glasshouse—perfect for a relaxed stroll and great photos. Then, head to the Ooty Lake View Point, a scenic vantage spot offering panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills, ideal for soaking in your final moments in the Nilgiris.
As the afternoon fades, begin the return journey to Bengaluru. A self-sponsored dinner stop will be made en route before continuing the overnight drive back to the city.

During and After the Trek: In the event of severe weather, taking the travellers' safety into consideration, a day may be shortened or the trek may be abandoned entirely. There will never be a refund of any kind.
Prior to the Departure: Make a plan in the event that a trek/trip is canceled due to a natural disaster (such as a rainstorm, flood, landslide, earthquake, or unanticipated political disturbance, curfews, local riots, government orders, or directives from the forest department). A VOUCHER for the full value of your ticket will be issued by The Unplanned.
The payment gateway fees will be deducted from any refunds that are granted.
If we have to cancel your trek/trip because there aren't enough reservations for that particular batch or we don't have enough participants, PLAN THE UNPLANNED will refund you 96% of the trek money ( Payment Gateway charges shall be deducted )
