Good things are worth waiting for...

Switching enigmatic landscapes, natural grandeur, snaky roads and vast grassland just 65 km from Guwahati will make you question how something so astonishing can exist in a city's vicinity. Many people who live in Guwahati don’t know about the serenity of this place. It is where tourists take a backseat, and the area divulges one wonder at a time. If there were five words to describe this place, those would be Economical, Less time-taking, Serene, Close to nature and Authentic.
Get ready for this Four Days Offbeat Assam Camping Trip – 65 km from Guwahati, Assam – where you’ll get to prepare traditional Rabha Vodka, taste the freshly brewed liquor, meet the indigenous Pati Rabha tribe, see the traditional cloth weaving process, visit Chandubi Lake, sway on the beats of Bogejari Folk Dance. (Girls specifically dance on the Bogejari beats. If the group includes girls, they will get ready and dance to the beats.) We will savour local cuisine – twisted with flavours, all desi style. All dishes are traditionally cooked from local fish, country chicken, and herbs.
Note: Vegetarians, don’t worry; we have many exciting options on the platter.
We will visit six Offbeat Places in Assam: Chandubi, Tukubari, Kothal Guri, Baroigoan, Ranikhamar, Langkhar. We will go hiking, cover about 10+ km of trekking and camping through the jungle, visit Soloka Dare waterfalls, and spend some time Angling in the Kulsi River.
Apart from meeting the tribals, we will take the Chandubi Village Walk and go to Chandubi Lake for a boating session. The lake is one of the nine lakes in Assam and is located at the foot of Garo Hills, formed in the 17th century after a massive earthquake watered by the Kulsi River. Listen to all the mystical stories about how this lake was christened.
We did this Lower Assam Exploration trip as a part of our Offbeat Exploration in the Northeast; since then, it has lived in our hearts. When we posted about this on our social media, it went viral, and we received multiple queries from people who wanted to do this. And so, we present to you – the Chandubi Two-Day Trip. Read the complete itinerary of the two-day Chandubi trip and book your tickets at the earliest.
Note: Without Travel, people must take care of their entire day's travel. We will begin our day directly in Chandubi. The location will be shared with you in an email.

Distance of Chandubi from Guwahati: 65 km
Time Taken: 2 hours.
We will receive you in Guwahati at around 8 a.m. Have your breakfast beforehand. This tour is set in an offbeat location and food places are not available easily. We will directly have our lunch at a tribals' home at around 1 pm. The timings and vehicle details will be confirmed to you in a separate email.
The day will start with registration in Chandubi and a group photo. We will get to know each other over cups of tea, and after the introductory session, our guide will give a brief about the trip.
We will give a rocking start to the trip with an Adivasi Dance Performance. Later as we are tired and hungry, we will settle for a scrumptious ethnic meal. This meal will consist of 10+ varieties of dishes, including staple rice.
At around 3.30 pm, we will pitch our tents, relax for some time, and then go for Pati Rabha Village Walk. In this walk, know all about the life of the Pati Rabha tribe and their contribution to the economy, and how their day revolves around work and life. Ask as many questions as you like, and for translations or any other detail, turn to your guide for help.
Later in the evening, we will prepare ourselves for a folk treat with Bogejari Dance. Women are especially invited to do this as this is performed only by women. You will be dressed and provided with basic makeup to prepare for a dancing session.
Later, we will have dinner. Several conversations later, under the offbeat stars, we will go to take rest at around 10 pm.

Kindly complete your dinner before you board the bus.
We’ll arrange transportation based on our group size. If there are 12 or fewer of us, we’ll use a tempo traveler. For groups of 13 or more, it’ll be a mini-bus. Both options are non-AC and have push-back seats for your comfort. We appreciate your understanding regarding our travel logistics.
