Participants will convene at the designated pickup location, Akshardham Metro Station, at 8:30 PM (subject to change). Following a brief welcome and introduction by the Trip Captain, the group will embark on their journey towards the scenic destination of Chopta. En route, the group will have the opportunity to witness the magnificent confluence of the Ganges River at Devprayag and Rudraprayag, offering breathtaking sights of this sacred confluence.

Upon arrival in Chopta, participants will be welcomed and accommodated in comfortable campsites amidst the breathtaking natural beauty. Following an energizing breakfast, participants will embark on the captivating Tungnath trek. The trail winds through the breathtaking landscape, culminating in the remarkable Tungnath, situated at an awe-inspiring elevation of 12,106 feet. Here, we will have the opportunity to pay our respects at the world's highest Shiva Temple, immersing ourselves in the spiritual significance of this sacred site.
The trek continues towards the majestic Chandrashila summit, reaching a peak altitude of 12,110 feet. From this vantage point, panoramic vistas unfold, revealing the grandeur of the Himalayas, including the majestic Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba peaks.
After soaking in the breathtaking scenery and spending time at the summit, we will commence our descent back to the campsite. Upon arrival, we will be served refreshing snacks to replenish our energy. As the day concludes, a delicious dinner will be served, followed by a restful night in our comfortable camps.

Upon arrival, participants will be welcomed and accommodated in their designated lodging, providing an opportunity to freshen up and recharge after the invigorating trek. As the day draws to a close, a delicious dinner will be served, followed by a tranquil night under the starry sky, filled with anticipation for the exciting adventures that await on the following day.

Fueling up with a hearty breakfast, participants will set out on a captivating Jungle Safari within the sprawling Jim Corbett National Park. The skilled naturalist guide will provide insightful commentary, enriching the experience with fascinating facts and local knowledge.
Following the thrilling safari, we will proceed to the sacred Girija Devi Temple, a revered pilgrimage site nestled amidst the mountains. Dating back to 1840, this temple exudes a serene atmosphere, inviting us to connect with the spiritual essence of the region. We will have ample time to explore the temple grounds and immerse ourselves in the tranquil ambiance.
Later in the afternoon, we will depart from Jim Corbett and embark on a scenic drive towards Rishikesh, renowned as the "world capital of yoga and meditation." Upon arrival in this vibrant city, we will check into our comfortable accommodations and have the evening free to explore the bustling streets and quaint cafes, soaking in the unique atmosphere of Rishikesh. As the day concludes, a delicious dinner will be served, followed by a restful night in preparation for the exciting adventures that await the next day.

Awakening to the gentle gurgling of the Ganges River, participants will be energized for a day brimming with adventure and spiritual immersion. Following a wholesome breakfast, we will embark on an exhilarating white water rafting session on the majestic Ganges. This thrilling experience through the rapids promises an unforgettable encounter with the power and beauty of the river.
Next, we will embark on a captivating hike to the breathtaking Neer Waterfalls, nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas. Surrounded by vibrant foliage and serene landscapes, this trek offers a peaceful escape and an opportunity to reconnect with nature.
After a delightful lunch, we will delve into the cultural heart of Rishikesh by exploring the iconic Ram Jhula and Janki Setu suspension bridges.
These vibrant bridges serve as a gateway to the spiritual essence of Rishikesh, offering panoramic views and a captivating glimpse into the local life.
As the sun sets, we will participate in the sacred Ganga Aarti ceremony, a mesmerizing ritual held on the banks of the Ganges. This captivating ceremony involves offerings of light and prayers, fostering a sense of peace and serenity as the river glistens with the reflections of countless lamps.

1. What is the best time for River Rafting in Rishikesh?
The best season for River Rafting is from September to mid-April. One should avoid the temperature of May and June as it becomes quite unnatural to regain the same essence.
2. Is there any age restriction for River Rafting in Rishikesh?
Yes, Kids below 14 years are not allowed to do river rafting in Rishikesh.
3. What will be the group size?
Usually, we take a maximum of 11 people in one group. We believe bigger groups have less fun and less coordination so that’s why we prefer smaller groups.
4. I am the only girl in the group, is it safe to travel solo?
Yes, definitely it is, the safety of girls is most important for us. All our guides and other staff are carefully chosen for trips. They are honest and reliable but we also advise you to take care of your personal belongings.

For the proper organization of Backpacking Trips and Himalayan treks, Plan the Unplanned team is associated with a local experienced team that’s registered with ATOAI (Adventure Tour Operators Association of India)
Moreover, we have been working with them for 10 years. Their highly skilled staff with 20+ years of experience, professional local guides and BMC certified trek leaders are the reasons for our continuing partnership with them. The team shall manage all operations, medical and mechanical backup starting from the base location.
Only when we have over 8 bookings from Bangalore, do we send our leaders from Bangalore.
Note: To properly utilize resources, a batch from PTU is clubbed with trekkers who originally book with the local team. This is how all trekking organizations manage their treks. An exclusive PTU batch is only formed when we have a majority of bookings ( over 8 and above ) from PTU
